Tidal, river, solar, and ge­ot­her­mal power stations exhibit specific op­er­at­ing con­di­tions that rep­re­sent very dif­fer­ent chal­lenges to sealing tech­nol­ogy. Whereas hot, toxic thermal oil can be securely sealed in solar thermal power stations, ge­ot­her­mal ap­pli­ca­tions need to control hot and strongly abrasive thermal water under high pressure.
