Eliminating fugitive GHG emissions

The next step in sealing evolution

Minimize process gas leakage

Natural gas is extracted, transported and distributed by turbo compressors all over the globe. Natural gas is a naturally occurring mixture of gaseous hydrocarbons consisting primarily of methane. Turbo compressor shaft ends are sealed by oil lubricated mechanical seals or conventional DryGasSeals to prevent uncontrolled release of natural natural gas to atmosphere. Small amounts of Natural gas leakage are technically required for mechanical seal operation. This leakage is typically vented (direct release to atmosphere) or flared (combusted release) on-site.

Methane emission regulations will require to reduce or prevent methane emissions taking all available measures available.

EagleBurgmann has the first ZeroEmission DryGasSeal in the market, meeting the requirement of methane emission prevention for turbo compressors
