One-piece chamber parts like chamber, intermediate chamber, grease, suction and buffer gas chamber in combination with standardized seal rings can be arranged according to customer specifications and application requirements.<br/>\nThe segmented seal rings largely are made of carbon and adapt radially to shaft movements. As a result they enable a very small and extremely uniform sealing gap, which is reflected in correspondingly low leakage rates. The hardness of the carbon seal rings often makes it necessary for the shaft to be given a hard coating or to employ a hard-coated shaft sleeve to counter premature wear.<br/>\nPreferred applications for Espey WKA300 are those in which process gases to the atmosphere or processes to the atmosphere have to be prevented as well as bearing seals in the low-pressure range.<br/>\nDepending on the seal arrangement it provides a range of diverse auxiliary connections, e.g. for buffer gas injection, for the injection of a flushing medium and for the selective removal of residual gas and condensate to prevent leakage to the outside.<br/>\nAs a rule Espey WKA300 is designed with an end ring for the screw connection to the machine's sealing point.
