Sealing solution for crystallizing media

Sulfur is a challenging element. It is flammable (dust explosion hazard), among other things, and in its liquid state with the addition of air it will generate a very toxic sulfur dioxide (SO2). The substance also exhibits crystallizing properties, which regularly causes problems during the technical processing.

Sealing technology and service for the Goliat FPSO

The Goliat FPSO (Floating Production and Storage Off shore unit) is currently the most modern and largest facility of its kind worldwide. The characteristic cylindrical shape makes it ideal for the exceedingly hard wintery and icy conditions at the production location in the Barents Sea. The platform was developed by the Norwegian Sevan Marine and built by Hyundai Heavy Industry in South Korea. It is operated by Eni Norge, and Statoil Petroleum AS holds a share of 35 %.

Dry-running mechanical seals under moderate operating conditions are becoming increasingly popular in the process industry due to their robustness and ease of maintenance. With the SeccoMix R, EagleBurgmann has developed a dry-running double seal that is predestined for the chemical, pharmaceutical and food industries.

SH(V) mechanical seals for high-speed pumps in PTA facilities

EagleBurgmann, mechanical seals, PTA productionEagleBurgmann delivers increased safety and reliability with custom engineered liquid-lubricated double seals designed for high-speed centrifugal pumps that are used in purified terephthalic acid (PTA) production. These sealing solutions were developed in close collaboration with Sundyne, global pump manufacturer headquartered in Arvada, Colorado, USA. Based on the proven original EagleBurgmann design, the new double seals meet the ever increasing product performance requirements dictated by leading PTA producers.

Silent dry-runner

The new SeccoMix1 is characterized by noiseless run, patented heat dissipation and is prototype tested for use in ATEX category 1 (zone 0). Due to omission of supply systems, the seal scores high in efficiency.
