EagleBurgmann drives green and clean between its Eurasburg und Wolfratshausen plants.

Since mid-February, an electric car has shuttled between the two German plants operated by EagleBurgmann, a leading global manufacturer of sealing products. The vehicle logs about 60 zero-emissions miles (100 km) per day.

The new e-car is yet more proof of EagleBurgmann’s commitment to environmental protection – a principle enshrined in its corporate values. Reducing emissions of the greenhouse gas carbon dioxide is one of the key goals set out in its sustainability statement.

The electric car has a part to play in achieving this goal. It runs on electricity alone, produces no exhaust fumes, and makes virtually no noise. Plus, it helps cut CO2 emissions by 2,700 kg per year.

Displayed on the car itself in bold letters are the words “Zero emissions” – drawing the attention of employees and local residents to the benefits of e-mobility, and encouraging them to consider switching to an electric vehicle themselves.

This addition to EagleBurgmann’s fleet is just one of the many steps EagleBurgmann has taken to promote environmental protection. These include installing a sustainable air conditioning system at its Eurasburg plant, holding a worldwide in-house competition to conserve energy, and carrying out a program to plant more than 7,000 trees worldwide. EagleBurgmann is taking the green, clean route – and not just between Eurasburg und Wolfratshausen. In all of its actions, however small, its goal is to preserve the environment for future generations.
