6,000 Employees = 6,000 Trees

EagleBurgmann Personnel the World Over Roll Up Their Sleeves

To moderate the rapid course of global warming, attributed to the increasing emission of greenhouse gases, it is important to bind CO2. This can be done, for example, by planting trees. And so at the beginning of the year, the EagleBurgmann group came upon the idea of planting one tree per employee worldwide.

"We actively contribute to the protection of our biosphere with our products and take the utmost care to ensure the safety of our personnel, customers, products, and our environment." This commitment is part of the EagleBurgmann company mission statement and the sustainability declaration. Since 2011, EagleBurgmann has set definite objectives and measures to make sure it is implemented. The reduction of CO2 emission is just one of those goals. That is how the idea came about early 2013 of becoming active for "growing goals" worldwide and to plant trees during joint events or to donate them to organizations dedicated to protecting and increasing the global forest area.

The pleasant result of these planting campaigns: The EagleBurgmann Group has "overshot" the goal in the true sense of the word: In the meantime, over 7,000 trees have been planted worldwide in numerous countries. Whether in parks, company grounds and kindergartens or forests – EagleBurgmann personnel have rolled up their sleeves everywhere in the world. "A campaign that was carried out throughout the group with much enthusiasm and joy, and not only promoted team spirit but also showed a "green" result due to the active helping hands," says Dr. Stefan Sacré, CEO, EagleBurgmann Germany.
